TRA to quiz the people (UAE)

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched a series of short consumer opinion online surveys. Commenting on the surveys, H.E. Muhammad Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General said: “There is no doubt that feedback and receiving users opinions is the best way to judge the quality of services”.

The surveys are in both Arabic and English. Services being surveyed are Mobile Number Portability (MNP); Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS) and Fixed Broadband Internet Services. The surveys are at http://www.tra.gov.ae/consumer_survey.php.

Loyalty rewarded (Kenya)

Orange’s Telkom Kenya has announced the Ziada loyalty scheme, which will be awarded on the user's cumulative percentage of airtime. Mickael Ghossein, Orange’s CEO said those who have been users up to six months will get a 10 percent bonus when they top up, whilst users of 18 months or more will attract a bonus of 30 percent. The bonus will be redeemable at the start of every month.
